How to Lose Fat in Face and Neck

Anyone can have extra fat around the neck and face area because of fatty deposits due to general obesity, aging, or water retention.

If you want the fastest solution, you can visit a cosmetic surgeon to have a liposuction. However, if this is not something you want or can afford, there are natural and less intrusive ways to decrease that annoying facial fat, including the following:

1. Drink More Water

By simply drinking 64 ounces of water every day, you can help yourself avoid water retention, which can result to excess facial fat. Because the body clings to each ounce of water it receives as a reaction to the general shortage, your face, hands, and other parts of the body will look bloated. Make sure that you drink more water daily to avoid this kind of problem.

2. Eat Healthy

What you eat can hugely impact how you look. Restrict the amount of fat and calories that you consume, especially if you are already overweight. Try to lose weight as well and you can start by eating the right foods. Avoid sodium-rich foods, those that have high cholesterol, and those that are extremely fatty. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables as much as possible. Look for foods that are high in fiber, which can attract water, but does not get absorbed in the bloodstream. You also feel fuller and therefore you prevent cravings for a long period of time.

3. Exercises for Facial Fat

There are some exercises that can help you get rid of facial fat. One effective exercise is where you place your thumbs at the fleshiest part of your cheeks, which is under your cheekbones. Then, use your fingertips to get as much flesh as possible. Pull that flesh away from your face and using the muscles on your cheeks, draw that flesh back. Do this for at least 20 times every day.

4. Cardiovascular Exercises

Believe it or not, you can trim down your neck fat by doing some cardio exercises. Perform about 150 minutes of this type of exercise every week or 30 minutes for five days a week. You can do jogging, walking, running, and biking. Doing these activities can help you lose weight and even promote a healthier body. This is also good for people with diabetes and those with hypertension.

Face and neck fat can be embarrassing, but thankfully, you can get rid of that annoying fat in no time. With proper exercise, healthy eating, and some other lifestyle changes, you can combat not only facial fat, but also body fat.
